If you are passionate about your community of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples and want to create change on campus and beyond, then the FNSA Board would be a great fit for you! We are currently working on updating our constitution and will be looking forward to opening up our space in the new SUB on Burnaby campus.
At the next meeting on Tuesday, June 15th @ 6 PM (PST), nominations will be open and close for 5 available spots on the FNSA Board. Members who are interested in joining the board must be at this meeting to be nominated and full members. A full member is someone who was registered in a class the previous semester or associated with an SFU faculty (e.g letter of acceptance to a program/department) and of self-identified First Nations, Inuit, and Métis ancestry.
The positions include:
- (1) Treasurer
- (3) FNSA Representatives
- (1) Council Members
If any of these roles are of interest to you, reach out to us via e-mail or on our discord server for meeting details.
contact: FNSA-board@sfu.ca
Membership in attendance will also receive a $15 grocery store gift card. Membership attendance is taken at every meeting and will be dispersed at the end of the semester.
edit: June 9th, 12:24 PM (PST) the roles available within the FNSA board were posted as 2 FNSA representatives and 2 Council Members and changed to the correct number of available positions which are 3 FNSA Representatives and 1 Council Member.
